Celebrating our 10th Year
Classic Landscapes Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary
Ten years ago this week a vision became reality as Classic Landscapes, Inc. (CLI) was born in the former home office of owner and UGA Landscape Architecture graduate John Newman’s residence in Hampton, GA. As a sign of things to come the first project for CLI was a property that ended up being featured on a cable television network called Home and Garden Television (HGTV) based in Memphis Tennessee. HGTV’s Goundbreakers show ran on Saturday mornings for 30 minutes and showcased a design build project fit for television and the parameters of their show. Newman likes to tell folks tongue in cheek that “what we learned from that experience was that if you have been on television people believe you know what you are doing whether you do or not!” Thankfully CLI’s team of professionals do know how to bring properties to their potential through a collection of processes that include such seemingly unrelated things as very customized Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to a proprietary blend of soil amendments that include organic compost and natural microbes for outstanding project performance.
CLI has become one of Georgia’s most award winning landscape companies and stood the test of time throughout the Great Recession gaining the respect of peers, customers and team members alike. Adding property management to the service offerings in 2007 in response to existing client demand allows CLI’s team to take care of client’s property needs in a seam-less and efficient manner. Moving into new offices in March of 2015 near the Hampton airport allows CLI to service areas from Covington to Newnan and south Atlanta to north Macon with ease, efficiency and reliability. As it is said at Classic Landscapes, Inc. “Good ideas never go out of style” and the CLI team has molded new ideas with tried and proven ones to create best value offerings for south Atlanta and beyond.
